Maison Jackie is a serene gathering venue, shoot location and meeting room, where craftmanship and interior design, engage in an enriching dialogue. The space, formerly a monastery and now an enclave of modest luxury, aims at cultivating a sense of belonging and community, where entrepreneurship and creativity go hand in hand. Maison Jackie is the ideal blend of powerful, luxurious design and soft materials, totally in line with a truly genuine house and full of natural light. The strongly female, spiritual energy the sisters left behind has been deliberately translated into a soulful event space for gatherings, vernissages and getaways.
As you enter the spacious lounge area, the original door with stained glass is an immediate eyecatcher. The open adjacent kitchen functions as the heart of the space, where guests gathering for drinks and chats. The dining area was made to connect while all the cosy nooks form the perfect setting for shoots.
Bringing the natural light in, the sun terrace and garden are the perfect spaces to catch the sun in a serene and secluded atmosphere.
We worked together with several designers, artists and creators to merge design and craftsmanship into a modest luxurious unity. When you walk around in the house, the air is loaded with our love for aesthetics and eye for detail. Artists, designers and creators find a home in Maison Jackie by exhibiting their work through vernissages.
A kitchen should be a place of great food, laughter and loving, a reflection of a lust for life. That is why Ask og Eng choose Maison Jackie as their showroom. To experience their craftsmanship in a real setting. The downstair kitchen displays their sense of aesthetics and their diligent manufacturing at its best. Maison Jackie opens its doors by appointment as “a home away from home” to discover the kitchens up close.
Kine Ask Stenersen and Kristoffer Eng founded the Ask og Eng studio early 2016, after having built several sustainable kitchens and furniture for themselves over a number of years. As fellow modern nomads, they were intrigued with the story of Maison Jackie and grasped the chance to contribute to this “home away from home”. Ask og Eng was nominated as producer of the year at the Bo Bedre Designpris 2018 and 2019.
